Jacob Schwarm was chosen for A Legacy of Legends Scholarship 2013 - 2014, Preserving the Legacy of
Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt.
Jacob spent his summer at Ty Van Norman's ranch in
Tuscarora, Nevada. Ty Van Norman is a fifth generation rancher as well as Ray Hunt's grandson. Jacob finished his final semester at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana and worked on a ranch while in school. He has received his Bachelors Degree in Agriculture Business.
Jacob was contacted by, Nick Dowers, 2013 Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Championship
Winner, to ride with him at his ranch in Nevada. Jacob has worked with Joe Wolter, starting horses at the B-Bar-B Ranch in Idaho. Currently Jacob divides his time working with his Dad and being out west at the Cinch Buckle Ranch, a 39,000 acre ranch in Broadus Montana. What a tremendous opportunity and education Jacob is receiving from these true horsemen and working ranch stockmanship.
Update: Jacob is home and currently taking horses in training at our Illinois facility.
